The project generally consists of: Installation of a new 300,000-gallon water storage tank, 150 GPM booster pump station, approximately 20,700 LF of 8-inch DIP water line, valves, hydrants, and other appurtenances, and 290 LF of steel encasement. Interested parties are invited to attend this meeting to review the plans, ask for additional information or clarification and to visit the project site. Bidders and other interested parties should note that prequalification of equipment manufacturers by the Engineer prior to the bid opening is required for this project. Prequalification submittals for the following items will be accepted until 5:00 pm local time on October 16th, 2024. Skid Mounted Variable Speed Booster Pump Station Section 221123 Ground Mounted Glass Coated Steel Storage Tank Section 221219 Ground Mounted Bolted Steel Storage Tank Section 221220 Ground Mounted Welded Steel Storage Tank Section 221221 The Amount Of The Bid Bond Shall Be Equal To Five (5) Percent Of The Total Of The Bid. The Bid Deposit Shall Be Retained By The Owner If The Successful Bidder Fails To Execute The Contract Or Fails To Provide The Required Bonds, As Stated Above, Within Ten (10) Days After The Proper Notice Of Award Of The Contract. The Owner Reserves The Right To Reject Any And All Bids, To Waive Informalities, Or To Reject Non-conforming, Non-responsive, Or Conditional Bids. The Owner Reserves The Right To Award A Contract To The Lowest, Responsive, Responsible Bidder Or Bidders, Taking Into Consideration Quality, Performance And Time. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to the Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered by either mail or approved electronic means to all parties recorded by the Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than five (5) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
