The City of Talent proposes to address wildfire risk concerns along the Bear Creek in Talent, Oregon. Previous wildfires have left flammable debris and invasive flora is posing a further risk. The proposed project includes site preparation and removal of large/hazardous trees and stumps, removal of medium sized trees and stumps, and removal of all brush, blackberry bushes, or local flora. Also, removal of floor-level hazardous debris like dead leaves and disposal or dispersal of all debris. The contract period will begin after city contract approval on October 21, 2024 and is expected to last eight to twelve months.
