Site work for a civil project in Kelsey, Alberta. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The existing water and wastewater systems requires significant capital renewals and/or upgrades since its original construction. Various assessments have been completed by Parks Division and based on the findings, as well as reports of the existing operational and maintenance concerns from staff, Parks Division has decided to optimize and modify: .1 Water Treatment Plant (streamline operations and increase treatment consistencies), .2 Water and wastewater distribution lines throughout the park, .3 Wastewater lift stations throughout the park including ultrasonic controls and communication systems remote capabilities, .4 Power distribution to support a three-phase power supply, and, .5 Decommission existing water wells and facilities no longer in use. TIMELINE: Project is in design. Construction will be carried out in two phases and under two separate construction contracts: Phase 1 was planned for 2025 and Phase 2, anticipated construction is expected in 2026 (July 1, 2026 - January 31, 2027). Project schedules will be updated once tender from general contractors has been issued. *Budget is unreleased.
