Question Deadline 10/16/2024 at 11:59 PM PT Online Q&A Yes Scope of Services This project will extend the separated bikeway network to improve connections between neighborhoods and downtown to encourage more and safer bicycle trips. The project objective is to construct a Class IV bikeway from Q Street to X Street, and finish with a connection to the bicycle infrastructure on Broadway. Alongside the improvements for cyclists, this project will upgrade deficient curb ramps, install new crosswalks and ped-heads where required, and shorten crossings. Background and Purpose The City applied for and received grant funding from the 2023 Regional Active Transportation Program to deliver the 9th Street Separated Bikeway Project. The 9th Street Separated Bikeway Project will construct a southbound ClassIV bike lane on 9th Street from Q Street to Broadway. It is a key component of the Central City Mobility Project and will complete a bike lane couplet with the existing northbound separated bike lane on 10th Street from I Street to Broadway. This project, coupled with the 10th Street Separated Bikeway, will establish a clear route to and from the Central City and commercial corridors like Broadway and R Street.
