This is the first phase (Phase 1) of a two-phase competition: the first phase will evaluate the qualifications of all bidders; second phase (Phase 2) will invite the qualified bidders to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. Upon award of contract in Phase Two the pre-qualification list will be terminated, no additional contracts will be awarded. Statement of Work: Small Craft Harbours (SCH) has a requirement to install underground high density polyethylene (HDPE) caissons across an existing seawall at four (4) locations (Crossings A, B, C and D) at Steveston Paramount for the future installation of underground electrical and water services. A summary of the crossings is as follows: o Crossing A - 2 x 450mm diameter DR 17 HDPE pipes for electrical and communications services. o Crossing B - 1 x 300mm diameter DR 11 HDPE pipe for water line and several connections to existing water line. o Crossing C - 2 x 450mm diameter DR 17 HDPE pipes and 1 x 300mm diameter DR 11 HDPE pipe for electrical, communications and water line. o Crossing D - 1 x 300mm diameter HDPE DR 11 pipe for water main. Crossings A and C require the installation of an electrical and communications pull box on both sides of the dike. Crossing B requires the rerouting of the water supply from the existing fibre cement pipe to the new 300mm HDPE DR 11 water main along Trites Road with multiple connections to the existing underground water main and into the existing backflow preventer. The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labour, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, transportation, quality control, health and safety, environmental protection and all other services necessary for the successful completion of the work. Work under this contract shall be at 12740 Trites Rd., Richmond, British Columbia, Canada. The estimated contract period will be 4 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2024/10/20.
