Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Norman, Oklahoma. Completed plans call for the renovation of a pre-engineered storage facility; for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The work contemplated includes the furnishing of all the necessary labor, tools, equipment, materials, supplies and miscellaneous items required for the Infrastructure Technologies Building project Allows zero unit prices and labor Yes Allows negative unit prices and labor Yes Question cut-off date is: October 8, 2024. No questions shall be accepted after this date. No interpretation of the meaning of plans, specifications or other pre-bid documents will be made to any bidder orally. Every request for such interpretation should be in writing, addressed to Cody Jones of GSB, Inc. at cjones@gsb-inc.com and to be given consideration, must be received as outlined in the Instructions to Bidders prior to date fixed for opening of bids. Addendum cut-off date is: October 10, 2024. No Addendums will be issued past this date. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the following: (1) that no bidder may withdraw his proposal within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Board of Regents of The University of Oklahoma expressly reserves the right to waive any formalities and to reject any or all bids. The Owner may make such investigations as he deems necessary to determine ability of the bidder to perform the work, and the bidder shall furnish to the Owner all such information and data for this purpose as the Owner may request. The Owner reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such bidder fails to satisfy the Owner that such bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligation of the Agreement for Construction and to complete the work contemplated therein. Conditional bids will not be accepted. Each bid must be accompanied by certified check, cashier's check, or a bid bond duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereof an insurance or indemnity carrier licensed to do business in the State of Oklahoma, in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid. Such certified or cashier's checks or bid bonds will be returned to all except the three lowest bidders within seven (7) days after the bid opening, and the remaining checks or bid bonds will be returned promptly after the Owner and the accepted bidder have executed the Agreement for Construction, or, if no award has been made within sixty (60) days after the date of the opening of bids, upon demand of the bidder at any time thereafter, so long as he has not been notified of the acceptance of his bid. The successful bidder, upon his failure or refusal to execute and deliver the Agreement for Construction and bonds required within ten (10) days after he has received notice of the acceptance of his bid, shall forfeit to the Owner, as liquidated damages for such failure or refusal, the security deposited with his bid. Simultaneously with his delivery of the executed Agreement for Construction the Contractor shall furnish a surety bond or bonds as security for faithful performance of this Agreement, for the payments of all persons performing labor on the project under this Agreement and furnishing materials in connection with this Agreement, and for defects in materials and workmanship. The surety on such bond or bonds shall be a duly authorized surety company satisfactory to the Owner, licensed to do business in the State of Oklahoma, and insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation or the Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation. Bidder must agree to commence work in accordance with the contract to be specified in a written "Notice to Proceed." The contractor will have 426 calendar days to achieve substantial completion from the date of Notice to Proceed. Bidder must also agree to pay Liquidated Damages in the amount of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000) for each consecutive calendar day of unexcused delay in achieving Substantial Completion. The bidder must agree to fully complete the project within Thirty (30) consecutive calendar days after Substantial Completion. Bidder must also agree to pay Liquidated Damages in the amount of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) for each consecutive calendar day of unexcused delay in achieving Final Completion. The University of Oklahoma is not subject to binding arbitration.
