Flushing Area Senior Center, Genesee County, will be accepting bid proposals for the following center projects: Restroom Renovations Specifications include - New Vanities / New Sinks and Motion-Sensor Faucets / New Motion-Sensor Toilets / Additional Toilet - front entrance women's restroom / New Motion-Sensor Urinals / New Partitions / New Electric Motion-Sensor Hand Dryers / New Vent Fans / New Entry Doors - front entrance restrooms / Revisions to Entry Doors in Senior Annex / Added Handicapped Handrails / Added Heating Ventilation front entrance restrooms. New Flooring - Specifications include - Have new epoxy flooring installed in the lunchroom and senior annex including both restrooms. This would include removing the old tile in all rooms first, fixing any imperfections within the floors and replacing the rubber floor molding in the annex. Updated Painting - Specifications include - Have the lunchroom and annex, including both sets of restrooms, primed and repainted. This would include repairs to nail holes, along with other wear and tear to the walls and corners. Electrical Upgrades - Specifications include - Installation of new light switches and outlets in the lunchroom, annex and all restrooms. ADA Power Door Openers - Installation of ADA power door openers with updated panic bars and actuators for the doors going into the lunchroom and annex from the breezeway. The above referenced projects are funded through the American Rescue Plan Act as well as an additional allocation of funding from the Genesee's County Board of Commissioners. These projects are authorized under the Housing Community Development Act of 1974. All successful bidders must comply with the federal labor standards including the Davis Bacon Act and the Copeland Anit-Kickback legislation; federal equal opportunity requirements; and Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968.
