As of January 8, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The Project consists of constructing improvements to Rockdales Wastewater Treatment Plant including a new Aerobic Digester, Digested Sludge Pump Station, Equalization Basin, Equalization Pump Station, UV Disinfection System, Influent Grinder, Polymer Feed Replacement, Generator Pad, and associated yard piping. Work also includes demolition and all electrical, instrumentation and SCADA upgrades associated with the project. Liquidated Damages = $1,250 per day; Construction Days = 550 Question Deadline 10/21/2024 The successful Bidder, or Bidders, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of the contract written by a responsible surety company authorized to do business in the State of Texas and satisfactory to the Owner The current fair share goals for the State of Texas are as follows: MBE: CONSTRUCTION 12.94%; SUPPLIES 9.68%; EQUIPMENT 7.12%; SERVICES 10.84%: WBE: CONSTRUCTION 8.72%; SUPPLIES 9.34%; EQUIPMENT 5.39%; SERVICES 5.72%. The Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements apply to Contractors and Subcontractors performing on federally funded or assisted contracts in excess of $2,000 for the construction, alteration or repair (including painting) of a construction project under the DWSRF Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The award will be made on the basis of the lowest responsive bid. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in the bidding and to reject any or all bids.
