This work shall consist of clearing, grubbing, removing, and disposing of trees and vegetation within the limits of right-of-way and easement areas, except such vegetation as is designated to remain or to be selectively treated. This item shall also include removal and disposal of the trees and stumps designated on the plan to be removed. All stumps shall be removed in their entirety or ground as noted per the plan. The Contractor, as a part of this pay item shall legally dispose of all excess materials off-site. This item shall be constructed in accordance with Division 2 of the City of St. Peters Technical Specifications for Facilities Work in Public Right of Way, current edition. The last time for questions is before noon local time, October 16, 2024. The City of St. Peters is seeking bids for storm sewer infrastructure improvements in the Golden Hills Estates, Hermitage and Diekamp subdivisions that include the removal and installation of storm sewers and the addition of an emergency relief swale. The project will replace specific areas of undersized storm sewer system. Bidder hereby agrees to commence work under this contract on or after a date to be specified in a written "NOTICE TO PROCEED" of the owner and to fully complete the project within 165 calendar days, as stipulated in the specifications. Liquidated damages of $200.00 a day will apply. A bid bond in the amount of 5% (five percent) shall be submitted with each proposal. This project will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. No 2nd tier subcontracting will be allowed on this project. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in bidding and to reject all bids.
