Site work for a water / sewer project in Newville, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project consists of replacing approximately 4,480 feet of existing water mains with a new 6" and 3" PVC water mains and necessary appurtenances and also replacing approximately 90 services. Contract No. 1-Water Main Replacement Project, Estimate=$785,000 Contract Time=90 Days All bidders must register as an official plan holder with the engineer no later than 48 hours prior to the bid opening. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and reject any or all bids. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. Bidders shall submit proof of qualifications to perform the Work as described in the Instructions to Bidders. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109 and E.O. 11246. This project is being supported, in whole or in part, by federal award number SLFRP2635 awarded to the State of Alabama by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
