Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
The improvements consist of a new mechanical screen installed on a platform constructed of galvanized structural steel columns and beams with FRP grating. The new equipment will be above a new concrete pad for the screenings collection bin. The concrete pad will have a curbed area for the bin, with a new drain line to carry runoff from the curbed area back to the influent pump station. The contractor will also provide the electrical construction to provide power and control wiring from the existing MCC in the electrical building to the new equipment. The contractor shall provide a stainless steel chute to convey the screenings from the elevated platform to the container bin. There will also be a new yard inlet and storm drain line, with manholes, to provide drainage from the paved area in front of the treatment units.
