Fox Valley Technical College is soliciting sealed bids to replace one (1) vestibule at the Appleton Main Campus. The work will include general trades, painting and flooring. This work will be awarded to one (1) general contractor. A. Provide all labor, supervision, materials, tools, and equipment to complete the project described in the Scope of Work. B. The contractor is responsible for complying with all Federal, State, and Local regulations, codes and obtaining all permits required to perform this work. C. The contractor is responsible for coordinating all rough-in and final inspections needed. D. Unless stated otherwise in the Scope of Work, comply with FVTC Construction Specification Standards, Rev 14. E. The contractor is responsible for the final cleaning of construction & adjacent areas. F. Prior to the installation of any new or removed ceiling tile, the Contractor shall provide FVTC Facilities staff with the opportunity to perform an above ceiling inspection. G. Where existing flooring is to remain, Contractor is responsible for protecting it from damage during the work. H. The contractor is responsible for field verifying all dimensions. The contractor shall remove and dispose of existing aluminum storefront framing, doors, glass, wood, and associated hardware. This includes the interior and exterior storefront framing as well as the borrowed lites and curtain wall. See pictures below. 2. The contractor shall furnish and install new storefront framing, doors, glass, and associated hardware. See pictures below. No new railing is to be installed. Configuration to be the same as existing with the exception of the exterior framing. Lower mullion to be omitted. 3. The contractor shall remove and dispose of walk off carpet. 4. The contractor shall paint all walls & ceiling. a. Ceilings to be- Ceiling Bright White b. Walls to be- Sculpture Gray (SW1030). c. Contractor shall patch, texture, prime and paint walls above interior doors. d. Contractor shall paint adjacent walls to nearest door frames. 5. Contractor to remove and dispose of existing light fixtures. Patch holes and paint where existing lights were removed. Install two C6 LED light fixtures (FVTC to supply lights), location to be centered. Contractor is to order a surface mount kit for the lights and use existing electrical. The contractor shall Remove and dispose of existing carpeting. Furnish and install new walk off carpet. Carpet to be: First Step II Iron Ore throughout entire vestibule. Bid Alternate 1: 1. Contractor to cut out bottom 8" of hollow metal frames and weld in a new piece. 2. The contractor shall prime and paint the service door and frame. See pictures below. a. The exterior of the door is to be SherwinWilliam Semi-Gloss - Clay Tan. b. The interior of the door is to be SherwinWilliam SW1030 Sculpture Gray. c. The exterior of the frame is to be SherwinWilliam Semi-Gloss - Manual Mesa Bronze d. The interior of the frame is to be SherwinWilliam Match Benjamin Moore Galveston Gray AC-27. 3. Remove and dispose of door sweeps and weather stripping. Furnish and install new door sweeps and weather stripping. 4. Remove and dispose of existing kick plate. Furnish and install a new kick plate on the interior of door. 5. Current hardware set to remain. 6. Signage on exterior door can be disposed of. FVTC will replace. Bid Alternate 2: 1. The contractor shall prime and paint the service door and frame. See pictures below. a. The exterior of the door is to be SherwinWilliam Semi-Gloss - Clay Tan. b. The interior of the door is to be SherwinWilliam SW1030 Sculpture Gray. c. The exterior of the frame is to be SherwinWilliam Semi-Gloss - Manual Mesa Bronze d. The interior of the frame is to be SherwinWilliam Match Benjamin Moore Galveston Gray AC-27. 2. Install a new kick plate on the interior side of the door. 3. Remove and dispose of door sweeps and weather stripping. Furnish and install new door sweeps and weather stripping. 4. Current hardware set to remain. 5. Signage on exterior door can be disposed of. FVTC will replace. All storefront framing color to be Champagne. FVTC to approve sample color. . Hardware Sets: a. Set AL1 shall be used on the west side of both interior and exterior doors. b. Set AL2 shall be used on the east side of both interior and exterior doors. . Contractor to submit shop drawings for review and approval by FVTC. . Contractor shall cone/caution tape off the work area and post signs that the entrance is closed. . FVTC will work with the awarded contractor on scheduling this project as well as if temporary walls will be needed. . Electric strikes see attached spec sections 08 71 00 . FVTC will work with the awarded contractor on the location of dumpster during the construction phase.
