CMLC is seeking proposals from qualified proponents to design, fabricate, deliver and install this signature structure on or below budget for the Olympic Plaza Transformation Project. The Olympic Plaza Transformation project is currently in the Schematic Design phase and includes a creative, unique water feature structure that creates a visual destination and natural wayfinding from all extents of the plaza. This water feature structure will be a focal point, an icon, a photo- opportunity and a destination. The current proposal for the water feature structure is a tall, geometrically complex and intricate structure comprised of tiered cantilevers from a centre stem. The structure is designed to integrate sculptural elements and plumbing to supply water display features like a fountain. The sculptural figures are proposed to be attached and integrated into the mechanical and electrical systems of the overall structure, requiring coordination for fabrication and attachment to the structure; however, the plumbing and electrical scope, as well as the mechanical room to which they connect, is outside the scope of work.
