Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a stadium in Brampton, Ontario. Completed plans call for the addition of a 3,000-square-foot, one-story above grade stadium; for the demolition of a stadium; for the renovation of a stadium; and for site work for a stadium.
The objective of this RFP is to hire a qualified General Contractor for building Memorial Arena Extension which is a 3000 sq ft. addition to the existing heritage building. After a thorough study of the Brampton Memorial Arena, it was identified by Recreational Department that there is a need for additional change rooms/lockers rooms, storage rooms and additional specialized rooms such as an equipment room. Currently the Brampton Minor Lacrosse teams play out of this arena. Building Design and Construction determined that a 1-storey, 3,000 sq ft addition can sufficiently accommodate the Lacrosse team's requirements and will bring the arena more in line with current modern City of Brampton arenas.
