The major elements associated with the project involve replacing an aviation light, electrical receptacle and light fixtures; sandblast and recoat interior 60,000-gallon water tower surfaces along with clean, prepare and overcoat exterior surfaces, pit repair, seal roof/wall seam and holes, replace roof access hatch, remove roof vents, furnish and install new roof vent, remove finial and rolling ladder, furnish and install new fixed ladder with safety cable climb system, furnish and install ladder anti-climb gate, overflow pipe screen and spike strips to deter birds, extend tank drain to existing overflow pipe and sandblast interior 200,000-gallon riveted steel ground storage tank along with clean, prepare and overcoat exterior surfaces, pit and plate welding repair and all related appurtenances to the aforementioned work Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bank draft payable to the order of the City of Platte, South Dakota, in an amount equal to fiEach bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bank draft payable to the order of the City of Platte, South Dakota, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. The goal for Minority-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE) on this project is one percent (1%) and the goal for Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) on this project is four percent (4%). Bids may be held by the City for a period of not more than thirty (30) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids, investigating the qualifications of the bidders and completing financial arrangements prior to awarding the Work. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding and make awards to the Owners best interest.
