As of October 7, 2024, the owner has pulled out this project with no decision yet if they will rebid. The Sheriff's Office Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office of Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana,does hereby For the purchase and installation of walk in cooler and freezer. Preference is given to materials, supplies, and provisions that are produced, manufactured, or grown in Louisiana, quality being equal to articles offered by competitors outside the State. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause as permitted by LA R.S.38:2214B.The ability of an Entity to reject any bidis applicable only when administered in accordance with the Public Bid Law. In accordance with LSA-R.S. 38:2212B(1),the provisions and requirements of this Section, and those stated in the bidding documents shall not be waived by any entity. Bids may be held by the Sheriff's Office fora period not to exceed forty-five (45) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigation the qualifications of bidders, prior to award. Official action on this bid will be taken within forty-five (45) days by the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office. All bids must be plainly marked on the outside of the envelope: BID FOR "2025-14 Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office Purchase and Installation of Walk in Cooler and Freezer"
