Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Sanford, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The major project items include: o Traffic Control o Asphalt Pavement o Clearing and Demolition o Pavement Marking o Erosion Control o Private water service line replacement o Grading o Landscaping o Retaining Wall o Concrete Sidewalk Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check of the bidder or a bid bond prepared on the form of bid bond attached hereto, duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the Owner, in the amount of five (5) percent of the aggregate amount of the price (base bid). Liquidated Damages for failure to substantially complete the project within the contract time: Owner's Liquidated Damages $1,000 per calendar day The time for completion of the work (Contract Time) shall be one hundred (100) calendar days. If Alternate No. 1 is selected, the Contract Time will be increased by ten (10) calendar days. If Alternate No. 2 is selected, the Contract Time will be increased by thirty (30) calendar days. If Alternate No. 3 is selected, the Contract Time will be increased by one (1) calendar day. The Contractor may start work on the date specified in the Notice to Proceed and shall substantially complete the work within the stipulated Contract Time. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and any part of a Bid, and to waive formalities and technicalities in the Bids. The Bid shall remain subject to acceptance and not withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of the bid opening.
