The work involves the construction of a new parking lot at 2438 Ida Street, Sudbury, ON. The Owner is the Nickel District Conservation Authority operating as Conservation Sudbury. A completion date on or before November 30, 2024 is desired however completion in December 2024 may be considered. Please note that winter conditions can set in as early as October 31 in some years. The project site is private property but is immediately adjacent to a public road. The Owner has obtained an entrance permit with the City of Greater Sudbury. No other permitting is required. The overall project is partially funded by charitable donations. The Owner has secured funding for all parking lot items listed in the pricing schedule Parts A through D inclusive. The tender also requests provisional pricing in Part E for trail improvements that may occur at a later date. A built-in prequalification process is included and is described in the Documents section. This project is in a public park setting. The hiking trail immediately east of the work area will remain open to the public however the project site can be closed off without impact to trail users. Bidders are encouraged to attend the optional site meeting but may attend the site at any time.
