Site work for a pre-engineered storage facility in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.
As of November 4, 2024 bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid. Cumberland County Solid Waste Management intends to improve the Wilkes Road Recycling Facility operations with installation of a covered maintenance structure and improvements to the compost site. The proposed structure is approximately 2,400 SF of area and shall be a pre-manufactured metal building with partially covered sides (varies). A portion of the building area will be surfaced with concrete while remaining area will be surfaced with compacted stone. The foundation for the structure is proposed as helical anchors by the Contractor. The geotechnical evaluation is attached. The compost site improvements include import of soil for compacted fill to bring the site up to finish lines and grades. The Contractor will need to coordinate efforts with site operations to minimize delays. The soil import is anticipated to be approximately 25,000 cubic yards with an anticipated undercut of 15,000 CY. The bidder to whom the contract is awarded will be required to execute the Agreement and obtain the performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the sum of full amount of the Contract Price. he Contract shall have an initial term of 120 days, beginning on the date of contract award (the "Effective Date"). The CONTRACTOR shall begin work under the Contract within 10 business days of the Effective Date. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
