Date: 10/16/2024 Written questions due on or before 5:00 p.m. ET in Procurement & Warehousing Services Department INTRODUCTION: The School Board of Broward County, Florida (hereinafter referred to as "SBBC" or "District"), desires to receive Proposals from qualified proposers for Work of this Contract comprises of general renovations to various buildings, but not limited to: Architecture, Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Electrical. The District has determined that procurement by invitation to bid is not practicable because additional criteria beyond the lowest responsible bidder must be taken into consideration. Additional criteria such as, but not limited to, evidence of experience with construction, construction techniques, trade standards, quality workmanship, project scheduling, cost control, management of projects and building codes for similar or lower cost or scope projects as shown by the successful completion within the past five years of at least two other projects of similar size must be taken into consideration. CONTRACT TERM: The Contractor shall accomplish Substantial Completion of the Work on or before: 661 Consecutive calendar days from the commencement date stipulated on Document 00550: Notice To Proceed. In the event that the award of a contract under this RFP is delayed by administrative proceedings for a bid protest, SBBC may choose at its sole discretion to revise the duration of the contract to provide the required time to complete the project. The Awardee will be notified when the recommendation has been acted upon by the School Board.
