The Socorro Independent School District is requesting a Competitive Seal Proposal (CSP) for fencing project (Chain Link) to meet State Standards outlined in TAC 61.1031 and interpreted by TEA practical use of fencing to secure schools. Question Deadline 10/11/2024 at 10:00 AM MT All questions or requests for clarification regarding this CSP, must be submitted using online. All bids over $100,000.00 or more must be accompanied by a cashier's check (cashier's check needs to be made out to Socorro I.S.D) or bid bond (bid bond needs to be made to Socorro Independent School District in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid. The Socorro Independent School District will not allow a previous bid deposit already in possession of the District as a bid deposit on the bid. No personal checks, company checks, money orders, or cash will be accepted. Cashier's Checks for unsuccessful bidders will be returned seven (7) business days after award is made. The original bid bond, cashier's check needs to be delivered to 12440 Rojas Drive, El Paso Texas 79928, but must be received by the purchasing department prior to the closing date and time of proposal. Payment Bond : Any solicitation and subsequent contract for the construction, rehabilitation, alteration, or repair of a facility in excess of $25,000.00 will require a payment bond by the awarded vendor. Performance Bond : Any solicitation and subsequent contract for the construction, rehabilitation, alteration, or repair of a facility in excess of $100,000.00 will require a performance bond by the awarded vendor. Liquidated Damages The District can elect to assess liquidated damages of $1000.00 per calendar day if the project exceeds the contract completion date of 120 days from notice to proceed. The Socorro ISD retains the right to reject any and all Proposal(s) and to waive any and all formalities. In evaluating Proposals, the District is not required to select the Proposal based solely on the lowest pricing and will consider the criteria set out in Section 2269.055 of the Government Code (1) - (8) and any other factors specifically set out in this CSP.
