On-Call Pump Repair & Maintenance for Water Department, Wastewater Division. There will be no minimum payment in connection with this agreement. The City will request a fixed fee proposal from the Contractor at the time when a specific project is developed. The Contractor shall submit a fee proposal based on the Scope of Work of the specific project, including a Schedule of Work with number of hours estimated for the Work. Request for payment of services shall be billed, with an itemized invoice, to the City in accordance with the rates in the Proposer's schedule of hourly billing rates submitted in response to this RFQ. All charges for materials, printing, computers, etc., shall be included in the hourly billing rates. All questions concerning the project, a site visit, the submittal of a Statement of Qualifications, the City's review and evaluation of the SOQ, and the City's selection of a contractor for this project should be directed to: Husain Ali, Engineer II Water Department City of Bakersfield 6901 McCutchen Road Bakersfield, CA 93313 Voice Phone: 661-326-3249 Email: hali@bakersfieldcity.us Once a specific project is developed and the scope of work established, the Contractor shall submit a Schedule of Work with number of hours estimated to complete the tasks described in the specific scope of work. The Contractor shall execute the Work in a timely manner and in accordance with the submitted Schedule of Work. The City of Bakersfield (City) seeks to enter into an agreement with one or more qualified Contractors to provide on-call maintenance and repair services for miscellaneous pumps located at Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 2 (Plant 2) and Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 3 (Plant 3). The term of agreement shall be in place for one year from the effective date of the Agreement with an option to renew for three additional one-year periods in accordance with the provisions for this RFQ. Contractors wishing to be considered for this project should thoroughly read this Request for Qualifications (RFQ). Information required to be provided in a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is detailed in Section IV. Contractors submitting an SOQ must do so in accordance with the requirements of Section VI. As required by section IX, a signed copy of the enclosed sample agreement must be submitted with an SOQ. Bid Bond 10.00% Payment Bond 100.00% Performance Bond 100.00% The City assumes no responsibility for non-receipt of submittal packages due to any delay, including, but not limited to, carrier delay. It is the proposer's responsibility to meet the deadline stated above. Submittals which do not contain the required number of copies and all the information requested in this RFQ may be considered non-responsive and rejected without evaluation. Submittals received after the deadline or at the wrong location will be considered nonresponsive. Fax copies will not be accepted. Scope of Services The work to be performed consists, in general, of performing the following scope of work on an on-call basis: remove and install pump components (transportation included); troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct unknown problems; disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble all parts and components of the pumps; test run fully repaired pumps; and complete all work in a timely manner.
