The Cosumnes Community Services District invites and will receive sealed bids for Roof Repair Project. The work to be performed under this contract includes the furnishing to District of all labor, equipment, materials, tools, services, transportation, permits, utilities, and all other items necessary for replacement of damaged or worn roof sections. See Roof Repair Project NIB for information. Estimated Construction Cost: $285,000 Contractor's California License C-39 Roofing or B-General Building and/or Class Required. Bids received after said time shall be returned unopened. Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 calendar days after the Bid opening date. The work to be performed under this contract includes the furnishing to District of all labor, equipment, materials, tools, services, transportation, permits, utilities, and all other items necessary for replacement of damaged or worn roof sections. (Exhibit "A" Scope and Schedule of Services, Exhibit "B" Maps of Parks and Facility Sites and Exhibit "C" Specifications). PROJECT LOCATIONS: 1 Elk Grove Park Strauss Island 9950 Elk Grove Florin Rd. Elk Grove, CA 95624 2 Elk Grove Park White Diamond Restroom 9950 Elk Grove Florin Rd. Elk Grove, CA 95624 3 Fire Station 72 10035 Atkins Dr. Elk Grove, CA 95757 4 Betschart Park Restroom 5666 Adobe Spring Wy. Elk Grove, CA 95758 5 Laguna Town Hall 3020 Renwick Ave. Elk Grove, CA 95758. Each Bid shall be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or Bid Bond secured from a surety company satisfactory to the District, the amount of which shall not be less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price for the Base Bid only, made payable to Cosumnes Community Services District as bid security. The bid security shall be provided as a guarantee that within five (5) working days after the District provides the successful bidder the Notice of Award, the successful Bidder will enter into a Contract and provide the necessary bonds and certificates of insurance. The bid security will be declared forfeited if the successful Bidder fails to comply within said time. No interest will be paid on funds deposited with District. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Faithful Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. Each bond shall be in the forms set forth herein, shall be secured from a surety company that meets all State of California bonding requirements, as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, and that is a California admitted surety insurer. Pursuant to Section 22300 of the Public Contract Code of the State of California, the successful Bidder may substitute certain securities for funds withheld by District to ensure its performance under the Contract. Pursuant to the California Labor Code Section 1720 and following, and Section 1770 and following, the successful bidder shall pay not less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations. This is a "construction" project in accordance with Section 1771.5 of the California Labor Code. In accordance with Public Contract Code Section 20103.8 the District shall use method (a) to determine the lowest bidder as follows: The lowest bid shall be the lowest bid price on the base contract without consideration of the prices on the additive items. The District reserves the right to award only the base bid or the base bid plus any combination of additive bid alternates. District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process. All questions due by 5.00p.m.(PST) on October 11, 2024. For further information, contact Justin Ellermeyer, Facilities Management Director at JustinEllermeyer@cosumnescsd.gov. Weather permitting, the Contractor shall begin work within fifteen (15) CALENDAR DAYS after receiving a Notice to Proceed from the District, and shall diligently prosecute the work to completion, including all punch list work to correct deficiencies, before the expiration of the designated working days. The contractor shall diligently prosecute all work within ninety au working days.
