GENERAL SCOPE OF PROJECT The intent of this IFB is to provide median and roadside landscape maintenance and mowing for various sites throughout City of Lynchburg. The maintenance work will consist of providing all labor, materials, equipment, fuel, permits, and incidentals necessary to perform all of the work in accordance with the specifications outlined in the Landscape Maintenance section of this bid. The City suggests that bidders visit each site and acquaint themselves with the conditions as they exist and the operations to be carried out under this IFB. Bidders shall make such investigations as they may see fit so that they may fully understand the facilities, difficulties and restrictions attending the execution of the work under this IFB. The intent of this IFB is to provide median and roadside landscape maintenance and mowing for various sites throughout City of Lynchburg. The maintenance work will consist of providing all labor, materials, equipment, fuel, permits, and incidentals necessary to perform all of the work in accordance with the specifications outlined in the Landscape Maintenance section of this bid. Inquiries must be received at least 7 days prior to the due date in order to be considered (deadline for this solicitation is October 29, 2024 by 2:00 p.m. BID BONDS: Only when specifically requested in the bid documents shall each bid be accompanied by a bid bond with surety satisfactory to the City or a Cashier's or a Certified Check, made payable to the City of Lynchburg. In the event of default by the Bidder, the deposit shall be and represent liquidated damages to the City. Bids received without a bid bond, when specifically requested, shall be rejected. TERM OF CONTRACT The initial term of this contract shall begin January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025; with the option to renew up to four (4) additional one (1) year terms, upon mutual agreement.
