Reference Number 0000362744 The City of Jacksonville is requesting BIDS for RFB-Western Blvd and Williamsburg Pkwy Traffic Signal Installation located in Jacksonville, North Carolina: Description: This project consists of but is not limited to the installation of (2) Single Mast Arm with Metal Pole and (1) Double Mast Arm with Metal Pole with applicable ground wiring for the signalization of Western Boulevard and Williamsburg Parkway in Jacksonville, North Carolina. This project also includes the installation of foundations with applicable ground wiring and conduit and installation of a signal cabinet as well as coordination and installation of a Jones Onslow Electric Membership Corporation meter base to supply power for the intersection. BID BOND: Each Bidder must deposit a five (5%) percent Bid Security with his/her Bid. LICENSURE: BIDDERS must be properly licensed under Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes. WITHDRAWAL OF BID: No Bid may be withdrawn within ninety (90) days after the date of Bid Opening. Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % -- The CITY has established a verifiable goal of ten percent (10%) for minority participation on City building construction and repair projects. BONDS: The successful Bidder, upon award of contract, shall furnish a Payment Bond for 100% of the project price; and a Performance Bond for 100% of the project price. A Surety licensed to do business in the State of North Carolina must issue the Payment Bond and the Performance Bond.
