Renovation of a laboratory facility in Centreville, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.
The Project includes the rehabilitation of the existing environmental laboratory at the Millard H. Robbins Jr. Regional Water Reclamation Plant (RWRP) at 14631 Compton Road, Centreville, Virginia 20121-2506. The Work includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition of existing facilities at the Laboratory Building, replacement of major HVAC systems, and laboratory casework in accordance with the Contract Documents. A complete description of the Work can be found in the Contract Documents. The requirements for Bid Bond, Payment Bond, and Performance Bond are included in the Instructions to Bidders. Substantial Completion : Required within 540 calendar days of the date of the Notice to Proceed. Final Completion: Required within 60 days of the date of Substantial Completion. The right also is reserved by the Owner to negotiate with the responsible Bidder submitting the lowest responsive Bid in the event such Bid exceeds the Owner's budget for the Work. Such negotiations, if the Owner elects to negotiate rather than reject all Bids, shall be directly between the Owner and such Bidder. The Owner and such Bidder shall review the Contract Documents, and the Owner may provide such additional information as it deems appropriate to provide. Such Bidder then may be invited by the Owner to submit a revised Bid. Such Bidder shall be under no obligation to submit a revised Bid and the Owner may reject any such revised Bid.
