Site work for a water / sewer project in Monroe Township, Pennsylvania. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

These services include all necessary design and specifications for the bidding of and contracting for the Water Storage Tank and Well Development Phase 2 project entailing the completion of pilot well (previously drilled and tested in Phase 1 portion) into the final production well requiring a chlorination solution tank, and well building, onsite, containing SCADA control unit. Complete quotation details, including the required quotation format, may be obtained by contacting: Amber Martin, Project Coordinator SEDA-COG 201 Furnace Road Lewisburg, PA 17837 In addition to the storage tank, the MAJA is also planning the development of a new well water source on the same site as the new storage facility The Phase 2 portion of this project will require coordination with Peters Consultants, Inc. and the MAJA's retained engineer Brian Book, of CB3 Solutions, LLC, as well as numerous construction contractors for work being completed in Phase 1. The Phase 2 portion of this project involves the following: Site Civil Engineering: Design, development, and construction of the pilot test well and associated pitless adapter into a permitted and final production well, and conditional NPDES permitting for construction of stormwater management required for chlorination contact pipe. Design, development, and construction of the chlorine feed system that ensures adequate contact time and mixing along with a building required for housing the pump controls, disinfectant online analyzer, production metering and flow control via a SCADA communications unit for the source. Environmental Engineering: WQM Permitting of the chlorination contact tank, Chlorine Residual (and associated mixing/contacting time). Instrumentation and Control Engineering: Integration of a SCADA system control unit for the new source into the existing water supply and filtration plant. Phase 2- $181,368 (CDBG) The Engineer shall prepare all necessary design plans, drawings and specifications to be used for the construction of the improvements and should therefore be complete in detail and contain all necessary information. Drawings shall conform with standard professional practice and consist of all architectural and engineering drawings, including profiles and sections, plot and site plans, and all else necessary to illustrate the interest and scope of the work. Working drawings shall be prepared for structural, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and all other branches of the construction work. The Engineer shall investigate any existing systems affected by the proposed project, identifying options, and advising the MAJA in the most appropriate method of modifying the systems as part of the design of this project. Plans and specifications shall be developed in such a manner to delete and add segments should the project costs be over or under budget All permits, plans, or surveys which may be necessary to define the scope of the work or for the performance of the project shall be the responsibility of the Engineer. The quotation shall include a list of those permits currently anticipated as necessary, identifying actual permit fees which shall be paid by the Engineer as a component of their project quotation. Survey work required for easements/rights-of-way is not a part of this quotation. Federal Environmental Reviews, State Historic Preservation Office Review, and Archaeological Reviews are not a part of this quotation. Storm water design work provided by the Phase 2 engineer will be completed by the general contractor performing the water connection, sanitary sewer line work, and stormwater management swale construction. This bidding and construction supervision of this general contractor will be managed by the Phase 1 engineer (PCI). The MAJA reserves the right to accept or reject any and all quotations or to waive any irregularities. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
