Notice is hereby given that the Town of Northlake ( Town ) is now calling for Statements of Qualifications ( SOQ ) and proposals for the design of the Town of Northlake Public Works Building. The architect or engineer will submit a SOQ in response to the Town s Request for Qualifications( RFQ ). Questions regarding RFQ distribution, content, scope, or other information presented shall be submitted to the Town in writing to the Public Works email pws@town.northlake.tx.us. Questions shall be received by 5:00 PM, CDST, October 16th, 2024, for all submittals. Answers to questions may be provided in an addendum(s). No questions will be accepted after October 16th, 2024. The Town of Northlake reserves the right to reject any or all responses to RFQs received. This project encompasses the design and construction of a modern Public Works facility for the Town of Northlake, located at 1400 FM 407. The new building will span approximately 10,000 square feet, serving as a vital hub for essential public works operations, including administrative offices, equipment storage, and maintenance areas. Designed with a focus on sustainability, functionality, and cost-efficiency, the facility will play a key role in supporting and enhancing municipal services and infrastructure. Key features of the facility will include administrative offices, breakrooms, locker rooms, restrooms, material and equipment storage areas, vehicle bays, and a fenced compound for equipment. Additionally, the site will feature storage areas for sand and dirt, a wash-down area for equipment, and rooms dedicated to tools, pesticide, and chemical storage. Contractors for this Project must pay no less than the prevailing wage rates for the area established by the Owner and included in the contract documents, in accordance with Texas Gov t Code Ch. 2258. Contractors must also provide Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bonds for this Project in the amount equal to the construction budget as required by Texas Gov t Code Ch. 2253, the form of which are attached to the RFQ. Contractors must also provide Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bonds for this Project in the amount equal to the construction budget as required. A successful firm will be required to provide comprehensive planning, designing, and construction services for the Project. The scope of work includes but is not limited to: Architectural and engineering design services Preparation of construction and bidding documents Construction oversight and administration Environmental assessments and compliance Geotechnical engineering services Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services Civil engineering services Structural engineering services The design should include the following features: Administrative offices Breakrooms with seating for crews Locker rooms Restrooms Storage areas for materials and equipment Vehicle bays Fenced compound for equipment Storage areas for sand and dirt Equipment wash-down area Tool, pesticide, and chemical storage rooms
