Demolition, site work, new construction and renovation of a water / sewer project in Sherman, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The City of Sherman, Texas, is accepting sealed bids for the Post Oak Wastewater Treatment Plant Electrical Upgrades Project in the City of Sherman, Texas, hereinafter called City or Owner, in accordance with specifications and Contract Documents prepared by the City of Sherman. Estimate: 10,000,000-13,000,000 This project consists of installing a new 12.47kV distribution loop for the WWTP including a new electrical building with main switchgear, medium voltage paralleling generators, medium voltage pad mounted four and six way distribution switchgears, pad mounted 12.47kV to 480V distribution transformers, concrete encased and concrete capped distribution ductbanks, selective demolition of existing electrical infrastructure, and re-alignment of existing overhead electrical service lines in accordance with the plans and specifications. Project shall include all necessary labor, materials, testing, and utility coordination in accordance with the plans and specifications. Each respondent shall identify its bid on the outside of the envelope by writing the words: Enclosed Bid Post Oak Wastewater Treatment Plant - Electrical Upgrades Project For the CITY OF SHERMAN, TEXAS PUBLIC WORKS # 1514-U Bid Number 2024-22 September 2024 Bids shall be accompanied by a cashier s check or certified check from a national or state bank in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price, payable without recourse to the City, or an original bid bond in the same amount from a surety company licensed by the State of Texas to act as a Surety and listed on the current U.S. Treasury Listing of Approved Sureties, or a Binder of Insurance executed by a surety company licensed by the State of Texas to act as a surety or its authorized agent as a guarantee that the respondent will enter into a contract and execute a Performance Bond within ten (10) days after notice of award of contract to respondent. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and responses and to waive any informality in bids and responses received, as deemed to be in the best interest of the City. The Respondent must supply all the information required herein. The City is not responsible for bids or responses labeled incorrectly or misdirected. By responding to this request, the respondent agrees to perform in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth herein and any resulting contract in the event that the respondent is selected for contract award. The successful respondent shall furnish to the City upon notice of award a performance bond and a labor and material payment bond in conformance with statutory requirements. The successful respondent shall furnish to the City once the project is complete a one (1) year maintenance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price. All bonds shall be submitted by a surety company specifically approved in writing from the City holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as a surety, or other sureties acceptable to the City. Said bonds should be issued by a company carrying a current Best Rating of A or better. The name of the surety company shall be clearly written on the exterior of the sealed bid. The City may consider informal any bid submitted where the bonding company has not been specifically approved in writing. Answers that change or substantially clarify the Advertisement for Bids will be affirmed in writing. Attendance at the pre-submittal conference is strongly recommended, as it may be the only opportunity to review the scope of work with the City. Failure to attend will not be cause for lack of knowledge of the project. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Question Deadline 10/11/2024 The person may submit to the City, not later than seven (7) calendar days prior to the date set for opening bids, a written request for an interpretation or clarification. Respondents should act promptly and allow sufficient time for a reply to reach them before preparing their bids.
