The Project will result in concrete repairs and coatings to the two-million-gallon (2MG) clearwell at the James E. Quarles Water Treatment Plant at 4402 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta, Georgia 30068 in Marietta, Georgia. The project includes mobilization, access inside the clearwell, concrete repairs, replacement of joint seals, coatings, replacement of aluminum access ladders, drainage improvements, and disinfection of the clearwell. The time allowed for Final Completion and readiness for fnal payment is 180 consecutive calendar days from the date of commencement. The Work will be awarded in one Contract. PRE-QUALIFICATION OF BIDDERS is required. The Owner of the project is Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority All questions related to the Project shall be submitted by email no later than 5:00 p.m., local time, October 18, 2024 to the Engineer (David Haas, dhaas@hazenandsawyer.com). Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with good and sufcient surety or sureties approved by the Owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the Owner in an amount equivalent to five percent of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract or, in lieu thereof, a certifed check, cashier's check, or cash in equal amount. The Bid Bond shall be prepared on the Bid Bond form attached to the Contract Documents or a Surety Company's Standard Bid Bond, duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as Surety thereon a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury Circular 570. Each Bid must also be accompanied by a notarized Non-Collusion Afdavit of Bidder, Contractors License Certifcation, Afdavit Verifying Status for Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority Public Beneft Application, and Security and Immigration Compliance Act Certifcation. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond, Certifcation of Contractors Attorney, and Contractors Afdavit and Agreement with the executed Agreement meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents and executed on the forms attached to the Agreement. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids.
