Major items of work include: (1) Removal and replacement of the interior and exterior coatings of a 1-million-gallon Ground Storage Tank; (2) Ground Storage Tank accessory repairs and replacements; (3) Removal and replacement of the interior and exterior coating of a 7,100-gallon Hydropneumatic Tank; (4) Re-locate existing electrical gear; (5) Remove and replace existing 16" gate valve, including insulation. The deadline to ask questions is 10/15/2024 2:00 PM CST. Each BID shall be accompanied by a bid security, in the form of a Bid Bond or Cashier's Check, in an amount not less than 5 percent of the total amount bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a proper Contract and execute Bonds and Guaranty on the forms provided within 10 days after the date CONTRACT DOCUMENTS are received by the CONTRACTOR. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Richmond or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Bid securities will be returned to all but the three most qualified, responsible bidders within 7 calendar days after opening of BIDS, and the latter's bid securities will be returned after complete execution of the contract. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all BIDS and to waive technical defects in bidding. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating the prices in the BID, the OWNER reserves the right to consider the most advantageous construction thereof or to reject the BID.
