RFQ - Engineering Services - Former Inter Royal Mill Project The Town of Plainfield, hereinafter referred to as "the Town," intends to hire a qualified and experienced firm, hereinafter referred to as "Engineer" to provide structural engineering services for the Former InterRoyal Mill Project, hereinafter referred to as "the Project." The Town and the development team are interested in evaluating the viability of re-using the foundation systems of the remaining one-story mill building and restoration of several other remaining buildings. A structural evaluation is required to support future funding requests for the project. Services outlined in this RFQ/P will be funded by the State of Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD). The Engineer should be prepared to enter into a contract and begin work as directed by the Town on or about Monday, October 21, 2024. It is anticipated that the contracted services as described in this RFQ/P shall be completed by Friday December 6, 2024. General inquiries concerning the Request for Qualifications/Proposal must be made to Kelly Vachon, Finance Director and Shannon Fagan, Economic and Community Development Director. However, no oral interpretations shall be made to any respondent as to the meaning of any of the proposal documents. Every request for an interpretation shall be made in writing and emailed to kvachon@plainfieldct.org and sfagan@plainfieldct.org. To receive consideration, such questions must be received no later than Friday, October 4, 2024. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any and all responses to this RFQ/P, or any part thereof, and to waive any informalities and/or technicalities that are deemed to be in the best interest of the Town and to advertise for new proposals, and to make awards as may be in the best interest of the Town.
