Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Toronto, Ontario. Working plans call for the construction of a 647,000-square-foot, 16-story above grade, 528-bed elderly care / assisted living facility; for site work for a elderly care / assisted living facility; medical facility; retail development; and five-story below grade parking garage.
North York General Hospital (NYGH) Long-Term Care (LTC) Development with 528 long-term care beds, medical offices, clinic and retail space. Project also includes two floors dedicated to seniors-focussed services and parking for the LTC Development and the hospital. Demolition is required for the hospital's former administrative building on-site. Five levels of parking are also proposed with 540 parking spaces and 29 bicycle spaces. TIMELINE: The Construction Manager has been secured through an RFP process. On-site demolition ONLY is underway and is expected to take 6-8 weeks to complete. As of June 2024, an application for site plan approvals has been submitted to the city of Toronto with a revised scope of work. Designs are ongoing. Sub trade tender and construction start timelines have yet to be released / finalized by the owner. The LTC facility is expected to open before 2027; timeline is subject to change. *Construction cost is unreleased for publication.
