Renovation of an educational facility in Omaha, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The work called for in these Bid Documents includes the Installation of a new cooling tower on the roof of the Walnut Hill Elementary school building. Thistower will include new piping from the outside to the pumps located within the mechanical room. The work also requires a new steel support structure, structural modifications, and roof patching. In addition to the cooling tower (condenser water) pumpslocated in the basement mechanical room, a new plate and frame heat exchanger will be added to keep the heat pump loop decoupled from the cooling tower loop. A sump tank with volume adequate to drain the cooling tower system will be included for freeze protection when the tower is not in use. A side stream filtration unit will be included to reduce debrisin the condenser water.
