Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Davenport, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The proposed improvements consist of removing concrete, asphalt, and composite pavements and sidewalks; excavation; repair and/or removal and replacement of multiple sizes of pipes of various materials; backfilling excavated areas with compacted crushed rock or native materials; replacing pavements; repair and/or removal and replacement of storm and sanitary sewer structures as necessary; seeding and/or sodding; and other work related thereto throughout the City of Davenport. For all bids over $100,000, the City of Davenport requires a Bid Bond of 5% of the bid amount. A copy of the front page of the bid bond must be attached in the "Response Attachments" tab of the bid package. Bids over $100,000, submitted without a bid bond will not be considered. For awarded bids over $100,000, the awarded contractor will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount, and said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the Contract and the terms and conditions therein contained. Liquidated Damages - No excavation in a street, sidewalk, or driveway shall be left open for more than five (5) working days after the sewer or structure has been repaired, with liquidated damages of $500.00 per day levied for failure to comply.
