Question Deadline 10/08/2024 at 10:00 PM CT Question Cuttoff Date & Time Overview: The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking bids for a qualifed contractor to replace the expansion tank and connections at the Mason City Maintenance Garage. Replacement tank to be like-in-kind with existing equipment. Additional information can be found within RFB FY2025 #051 Project Packet (Attachment tab). Award: It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: Meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. Other factors may also include a comprehensive review of bidders as work performance and work capacity. Estimated project start date- Upon issuance of award (The date shall be coordinated with the IDOT Project Manager. (This is the estimated start date after all required documents are received (i.e., Insurance, performance bond and vendor signed contract). Estimated project end date- 11/30/2024 (This includes resolution to all punch list items, inspections and DOT acceptance typically used in construction bids) Until a contract is awarded the sole point of contact for the solicitation is the Purchasing Agent identified in the solicitation. All questions must be directed solely to the Purchasing Agent listed in the bid opportunity. We encourage vendor to upload all questions on or before the question cut off due date and time in site. Responses to questions will be communicated out to vendors via site. Bid Responses shall be submitted within site or signed and prepared in ink or typewritten in the solicitation documents provided. Telephonic, email or facsimile responses shall not be considered. Please post questions to site before the question cutoff deadline. Questions or requests for site visit received after this date and time will not be accepted. Project Timeline: Start and completion dates listed in this solicitation are desired dates. Bidders are welcome to propose other reasonable dates for DOT consideration based on but not limited to; lead time for materials, beginning or ends of seasonal periods, coordination and availability of subcontractors.
