Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Palmer, Alaska. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility; and water / sewer project.
This project forward funds the initial phase of a new water fill site and warm storage station for the Butte FSA off Maud Rd where there has been significant growth and development. This will support operations and aid with the ISO rating for this area of the district. Funding is being split over several years to begin work and fund the project in full within existing revenues. The project will cover the engineering and design, land clearing, site preparation including running utilities to the site and potentially the underground water storage tank, pump, plumbing and components needed to make it functional. Phase II will provide the remainder of the funds needed to accomplish these goals and fund the warm storage building portion of the project. As of October 3, 2024, this project is included in the city's 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
