Plainfield Fire Protection District is accepting bids to repaint the interior living quarters at Station 3, located at 25001 West 119th Street, Plainfield, IL 60585. The project will consist of patching and painting all interior living areas including all offices, sleep quarters, hallways, training room, bathroom, exercise room, dayroom, and kitchen. It also includes door trim and all entry/exit paintable steel doors that enter the living quarters. Ceilings to be painted include bathrooms with dry-walled ceilings. Areas not to be painted include all interior closets. Include with your bid proposal a list of exclusions accompanied by the original specifications. All contractors must be licensed, bonded, and insured. Each bid must be accompanied by either a bid bond signed by a surety company authorized to do business in Illinois, a cashier's check, or a certified check. The bid deposit shall be in an amount equal to at least 10% of the amount of the bid. Late proposals will not be accepted under any circumstances. Sole responsibility rests with the proposing firm to see that their proposal is received on time. If an award is made, it will be to the lowest responsible bidder that meets the specifications. The Plainfield Fire Protection District reserves the right to reject any or all bids after bid opening and evaluation or as a result of a change in the budget or procurement plans of the District. Incomplete or non-responsive bids may be rejected. All bids must remain valid for not less than 30 days following the bid opening.
