performing the work as set forth in the Specifications for the KINGSTON WATER VALVE AND PRV REPLACEMENT. The Kingston Town Board will consider awarding the contract at a future scheduled Board Meeting. To assure consideration, all proposals shall be made on the blank form of the proposal attached to these Specifications. The completed forms shall be included in the proposal and shall be enclosed and sealed in an envelope which is addressed to TOWN OF KINGSTON, 112 Gold Knob Road, Austin, Nevada 89310 (mailing address), and marked "Kingston Water Valve and PRV Replacement" Faxed Proposals will not be accepted. The Principal items of work for the Kingston Water Valves will consist of: Replacing in-line distribution system gate valves and tees in 12 different locations and replacing the valves, pipe and fittings in five different pressure reducing valve locations with associated water shut-downs, coordination with the Town, traffic control, type 2 base and pavement repair. No proposals will be considered unless accompanied by cashier's check, certified check or bid bonds in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, made payable to the TOWN OF KINGSTON, LANDER COUNTY, NEVADA. No proposal will be accepted from a Contractor who is not licensed for this type of work in accordance with the applicable Nevada Revised Statutes and qualified by the Nevada State Contractor's Board prior to bidding of the job. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive minor irregularities in any bid or in the bidding process. No bidder may withdraw their bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each proposal must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish both a Payment Bond and Performance Bond in the full amount of the Contract Price for the contract.
