Refurbishment of a Single Stage Vertical Pump (Pump No. 1) at the Manasquan Water Treatment Plant, 2061 Hospital Road, Wall Township, Monmouth County, New Jersey The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials and equipment required for refurbishment of a single stage vertical pump at the Manasquan Water Treatment Plant, 2061 Hospital Road, Wall Twp, Monmouth County, New Jersey. This is a "Public Work" project and bidders are required to comply with the provisions of the New Jersey State Prevailing Wage Act and the New Jersey Public Works Contractor Registration Act. All bids submitted shall be accompanied by a bid security amounting to not less than 10% percent of the total bid price or $20,000, whichever is less. Further details on bid security are within the Invitation for Bid. A goal of 25% of the value of the contract shall be established for the award of contracts to New Jersey based, Division of Revenue- Small Businesses Enterprise Unit registered small businesses in accordance with the provisions of N.J.A.C. 17:13-4.1; Executive Order 71). The Contractor must also make a good faith effort to award a goal of 3% of the dollar value of its contract to eligible disabled veteran businesses, pursuant to N.J.A.C. 17:14-1.1 et seq. The work shall be performed under the inspection and supervision of Paul McKeon. Provide all labor, material and equipment to remove, refurbish the same as specified further, furnish and install new bowl and impeller to meet conditions specified below, and reinstall the existing pump with the replacement bowl. The work includes, but is not limited to: o Lock out 40 HP motor. Remove motor and set on wood blocks in nearby location. o Lockout discharge valve, remove pump. o Disassemble and inspect pump unit and supply inspection report to NJWSA. o Replace entire bowl assembly with new bowl assembly from a made in America manufacturer that shall meet conditions of BEP at 100 ft. TDH at 1100 gpm, at greater than or equal to 75% efficiency so that existing 40 HP motors can be reused and bolt onto the 14 MC Peerless shaft and columns. 20 ft NPSHr or less, and bronze impeller. o Owner recommends providing a Goulds VIT - BAF 13CLC two stage bowl assembly Operating at 1800 rpm. Or Equal. Pump should attach to a 10" flanged column, with 1-1/2" threaded line shaft.
