Contractor is responsible for obtaining additional temporary construction staging and access areas as necessary for Contractor's operations. Said areas are to be a written agreement. The Contractor must furnish a copy of any agreements with property owners related to construction staging to the Owner. Storage of equipment, materials, parking, and related to construction shall not be within the public right of way. "The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary for, and incidental to, preparing the site, excavating, trenching, excavation support and dewatering systems, drainage, pumping, proof-rolling, laboratory testing, backfilling, pipe bedding material, compacting, in-place field compaction testing, grading, topsoiling, sodding, seeding, mulching and protection of the work as shown on the Drawings, as herein specified, and in accordance with the STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS, as defined below." Site Conditions a. The Contractor shall accept the site in the condition in which it exists at the time of the award of the Contract. b. All materials excavated shall be unclassified. The Engineer will determine whether materials that are to be used in the work are suitable or unsuitable after reviewing the test results. All excess or unsuitable materials excavated shall be removed from the site by the Contractor and disposed of at a permitted off-site disposal location of its own choosing, at no additional expense to the Owner. c. The work may also include excavation support systems to be left in-place as described herein. d. The Contractor shall be aware the Project Site is located in a limestone area and that Karst features from solution weathering of limestone, such as voids, cavities, soil-filled seams and sinkholes, may be encountered during construction. Subsurface Investigations a. The Contractor shall determine to its own satisfaction the ground water conditions and character and type of soil, decomposed rock, rock and other material to be encountered in the work to be done under this Contract. b. If the Bidder determines, after visiting the site that the data is not sufficient for bid preparation, the bidder may make its own investigation and tests, at a time acceptable to the property owner and as specified elsewhere. All government and private approvals andIor permits shall be obtained in writing by the Contractor prior to performing any investigations or tests.
