Interested Vendors should express their interest on the Interested Vendors List through this SAM.GOV posting or emailing the procurement specialist. SLAC FEH Reconfiguration Phase 1 Project - Design-Build SLAC is seeking qualified and experienced General Contractors for the upcoming FEH Reconfiguration Phase 1 Project RFP. Potential bidders will need to meet all necessary criteria contained in Section L of the DRAFT RFP. A partial list of the criteria outlined in of Section L include the following: . The Offeror's General Contractor's license has not been revoked within the past five (5) years. . The Offeror's company has not been debarred within the past five (5) years from working on any U.S. government contracts/subcontracts. . Neither the Offeror's firm, nor any of its owners or officers have been convicted of a crime involving the awarding of the contract of a government (U.S. Federal, State, and City) construction project, or the bidding or performance of a government contract. . Offeror must have an established local office for a minimum of 2 years in the San Francisco Bay Area. The San Francisco Bay Area is defined as the following 10 counties: Santa Clara, San Mateo, San Francisco, Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, Sonoma, Solano, and Santa Cruz Counties . The Offeror must list any U.S. projects within the past five (5) years that have been terminated for default. The Offeror's company cannot have any U.S. projects within the past five (5) years that have been terminated for default. . The Offeror must have previous experience working at Department of Energy (DOE) and/or Department of Defense (DOD) Facilities The FEH Reconfiguration Phase 1 Project is a "Design-Build" project. The FEH Reconfiguration Phase 1 Project will be delivered through a design-build, firm-fixed-price contract with no contingency. The base scope includes a 26,544 gross square feet (GSF) two-story underground cavern and associated infrastructure. The Subcontractor shall provide a design that includes but is not limited to the following disciplines: architectural, structural, mechanical, fire protection, electrical, telecom, network and security. The design shall also include furniture, fixtures, and selected equipment (FF&E) for all spaces, unless otherwise noted. Ergonomics shall be considered while designing the FF&E. The Subcontractor shall consider existing infrastructure and reuse/reconfigure as much as possible before considering adding additional infrastructure including, but not limited to, electrical power, HVAC, mezzanine area, cable tray, etc. in accordance with room data sheets provided by SLAC. The design and construction shall incorporate minimal shutdown periods for existing areas, equipment and utilities that are integral to programmed laboratory operations. Design elements and construction sequence must be developed in a way that takes into account that some of the construction will occur at times when adjacent areas of the LCLS facility are in use. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
