Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Rochester, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.

Maplewood Siphon Improvements Phase 3 Project includes providing improvements to the interior surface of the 72-inch (6- foot) inside diameter Maplewood Pedestrian Bridge steel north conduit from the west side to the east side of the Bridge, approximately 715 feet, and replacement of the two 72-inch inside diameter (ID) expansion joints of the pipe conduit. There are two conduits, one to the north side and one to the south side of the Bridge, and work is only on the north conduit. The Maplewood Pedestrian Bridge crosses the Genesee River between Control Structure 45 (CS 45) and Control Structure 243 (CS 243) from Maplewood Park on the west side of the Genesee River to Seneca Park on the east side of the Genesee River and the two 72-inch ID conduits are part of the bridge structure. The above description is general only and shall not be construed as a complete listing of every item of work required. 1.02 DEFINITIONS A. Furnish means to supply and deliver to the project site, ready for installation. B. Install means to place into position for service and use. C. Provide means to furnish and install, complete and ready for intended use. 1.03 RELATED DOCUMENTS A. Drawings and general provisions of Contract, including Terms, General Conditions, Special Conditions, and Supplemental Information apply to this Section. 1.04 SITE ACCESS / M&PT A. Control Structure 243 (CS 243) is located adjacent to the ingress and egress roadways to Seneca Park and the Seneca Park Zoo and has frequent high-volume traffic during Zoo events. Rochester Genesee Regional Transportation Authority (RGRTA) has a bus route in and out of Seneca Park. The Contractor is responsible for submitting a maintenance and protection of traffic (M&PT) plan to address traffic flow during work. No work that affects traffic flow may be performed until the M&PT plan is approved by the Owner. The general scope of the project will be reviewed at this Meeting. Minutes will not be issued for this Meeting. NO INTERPRETATIONS of the contract documents will be given at this Meeting. Following the Meeting, prospective bidders will have the opportunity to inspect the site of the work. All prospective bidders are encouraged to attend this Pre-Bid Meeting and inspect the site. Requests for an interpretation shall be made in writing no later than the end of business on October 22, 2024 (Tuesday). Any interpretations/clarifications necessitated by this meeting will be addressed by addenda issued by Monroe County *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Monroe County provided this is considered a Small $1,000, 000 Million cost project. A medium is $1,000,000-3,000, 000 Million, a large is greater than 3,000, 000 Million.
