The Engineer's Estimate for this project is $1,130,000. The contractor is to carefully examine the site of the proposed work and is to make his or her own determination of the scope of the work to be performed, and he or she is to carefully examine all Contract Documents. No Pre bid meeting will be held. The City will issue a Notice to Award no later than November 15, 2024. A Notice to proceed will be negotiated with the successful contractor to begin work when weather is agreeable. Bids shall be valid for 90 calendar days after the bid opening date. Work shall be completed within thirty (30) working days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed by the City The work shall consist of the following: Constructing new sidewalks, driveways, curb and gutter, ADAcompliant ramps, intersection crosswalks, storm drain facilities, utility service connections, grind and overlay pavement conforms, and pavement striping and markings for a complete roadway as shown on the plans. The project has a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal of 11% as required by FHWA. No proposal will be accepted from a contractor who is not currently licensed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9, Division III of the Business and Professions Code. Subcontractors shall also be licensed as required by said code. Contractor shall obtain a Business License from the City of Biggs prior to commencing any work within the City Limits of the City of Biggs.
