The College reserves the right to accept any proposal or proposals in whole or part, to negotiate further regarding any terms of the proposal with one or more applicants to achieve the best proposal as determined by the college at its sole discretion, and to reject any or all proposals, for any reason whatsoever, should it be deemed in the best interest to the college to do so. This project requires the payment of prevailing wages Insurance Requirements A. The Contractor, before commencing the work, shall furnish certificates of insurance meeting the attached requirements. All insurance coverage shall be provided by insurance companies having policy holder ratings no lower than "A" and financial ratings not lower than "XII" in the Best's Insurance Guide, latest edition in effect as of the date of the Contract. C. The Contractor is responsible for determining that Subcontractors are adequately insured against claims arising out of or relating to the Work. The premium cost and charges for such insurance shall be paid by each Subcontractor. D. The limits of liability, as stated, may be arrived at using a Split-Limit or a Combined Single Limit basis. However, the total limit of liability shall not be less than that stated in the requirements. Award of Contract It is the owner's intent to award a contract to the lowest responsible and competent bidder provided the bid has been submitted in accordance with the requirements of the bidding documents and does not exceed the funds available for construction. The owner reserves the right to award to the bidder which in its judgment has submitted the bid which is in the owner's best interest.
