Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Oakland, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The work to be performed under this Contract consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials, BUT IS NOT LIMITED to the following 1. The Contractor shall provide all lines and grades for the Construction Layout of the Project. 2. The Contractor shall furnish, install, maintain, relocate, and remove all signs, barricades, and barriers required to maintain or detour vehicular traffic as specified on the Plans and in the Specifications, and as directed by the Engineer. 3. The work shall include the replacement of the existing bridge structure with a proposed precast concrete culvert (3-Sided Structure), utility relocation, reconstruction of approach roadway, restoration of existing channel wall disturbed by the culvert replacement, and all other miscellaneous roadway items; according to the Plans and Specifications and as directed by the Engineer. 4. The Contractor shall construct all else incidental to and necessary for the satisfactory completion of the Project, according to the Plans and Specifications, and as directed by the Engineer. 5. The Contractor MUST obtain and file for a Road Opening Permit from municipality, if required. 6. The Contractor shall coordinate with all the Utility companies for relocation required for the Construction. 7. The Contractor shall protect the existing gas main during construction according to the Plans and Specifications, and as directed by the Engineer. 8. The Contractor shall maintain one lane of traffic at all times during construction unless otherwise approved by the Engineer and previously communicated with the residents north of the Doty Road. 9. The Contractor shall be responsible for the final cleanup of the Project Area, as well as any adjacent properties affected by his work. This shall be done both to the satisfaction of the Engineer and the affected property owners. 10. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial Comp ***Bid Event: Bid proposals must be submitted on the forms supplied by the County. Bidders must submit a total of four (4) bid proposals, as follows: one (1) original; two (2) copies; and one (1) electronically stored copy on a CD or USB Flash Drive. Bid proposals can be submitted in three (3) ways: (1) via hand-delivery during regular business hours from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM; (2) via certified mail; or (3) overnight delivery. All bid proposals must be submitted at the address listed above.
