The City of Surrey (the City) is interested in piloting a neighbourhood wide permanent, real-time leak detection system. The primary aim of the pilot project is to assess the effectiveness of a permanent Acoustic Leak Detection (ALD) system in identifying and quantifying leaks within the watermain network, in real-time, to allow immediate follow-up actions required. As part of the same project, the City is looking to replace the existing customer meters in the same neighbourhood due to their age, including implementing a real-time water consumption data collection and transfer. The purpose of this RFP is to select a Contractor to develop and implement a pilot program for a permanent, real-time ALD system in conjunction with meter replacement in a preselected neighbourhood in the City. The anticipated duration of this pilot project is between six (6) to twelve (12) months. Cancelled.
