Jefferson County is the most populous county in the state of Alabama and is in the central portion of the state. The county seat is in Birmingham. As of the 2020 Census, the population was 674,721. PURPOSE Jefferson County Commission is accepting bids for CHILLER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION for the Jefferson County Center Point MultiService Facility. Jefferson County Commission is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to provide chiller removal, installation and maintenance services in accordance with state, federal laws and regulations, county policies and procedures. Any responder to this ITB must be a qualified contractor, a single point of contact and take legal responsibility for all aspects of any resulting contract. This ITB provides interested parties with sufficient information to enable them to prepare and submit a bid response for consideration by the County. At the time of submitting a bid, each contractor will be presumed to have read thoroughly and be familiar with the specifications and requirements so that the vendor fully understands the services to be provided. The contractor is expected to provide inclusive, but not limited to, pricing for the following: o Remove existing chiller from site. o Provide all crane and rigging to remove existing chiller. o Install new 48-ton air cooled York chiller (YLAA0048HE46VSD). o Provide piping to reinstall proposed chiller. o Re-connect existing electrical work on the new chiller. o Provide start-up of new chiller by a certified York factory trained mechanic(s). o Clean up and check for proper operation.
