PROPOSALS RECEIVED AFTER THIS DATE AND TIME WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. This Request for Proposals (RFP) is being by issued SCPHA to obtain proposals from qualified contractors, referred to as the Contractor, to provide labor, materials, and equipment required for the boarding up of vacant units at the Hahnville Development in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications herein. It contains instructions governing the proposals to be submitted as well as generalspecifications that must be met to be eligible for consideration. The St. Charles Parish Housing Authority islocated at 200 Boutte Estates Drive, Boutte, LA 70039. RFP packet will be provided upon request by e-mailing: jjackson@scphousingauthority.com or by going to the St. Charles Parish Housing Authority's Housing Agency Marketplace online solicitations page. The St. Charles Parish Housing Authority is requesting proposals (RFP# 002-2024) from qualified contractors to provide all labor, equipment, materials and performance of operation in connection with boarding up of vacant units for the St. Charles Parish Housing Authority Hahnville location. The closing date is November 4, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. CST. Removal of the damaged or fallen portions of existing plywood or window screens previously used to board up the doors and windows. 2. Removal of all door knobs and latches that may impeded the placement of plywood. 3. Disposal of the damaged or falling portions or window screens of the existing plywood previously used to board up the doors and windows. 4. Disposal of all door knobs and latches that may impeded the placement of plywood. 5. Preparation of the surfaces around the doors and windowsfor the installation of new plywood on the doors and windows. Boarding Up of Windows and Doors: 1. Use pre-cut, or cut on site, pine plywood, or equivalent plywood quality to cover windows (various sizes) at each applicable unit (max 51 units), and community center windows. 2. Use pre-cut, or cut on site, pine plywood, or equivalent plywood quality to cover front doors (36" x 80"), back doors(32" x 80"), and storage room doors(32" x 80") at each applicable unit (max 51 units), and the back door of the community center (32" x 80"). 3. If plywood needs to be cut on site, ensure the placement and safe use of a saw to cut the plywood. 4. Electricity not available on site; please ensure that you have sufficient electricity producing equipment for any tools that require power. 5. Use of any combination of studs, screws, nails and/or bolts to install and affix plywood on the door and window frames of the applicable units. 6. If needed, materials being used on site can be secured at the on-site community center or in the Contractor's container/on-site storage unit. Cleanup Provisions: 1. On a daily basis, Contractor shall keep premises free of accumulated debris and construction materials. 2. Contractor(s) shall be responsible for removing debris at the end of every work day. 3. There shall be no cleaning of tools, washing or dumping of materials in the drains or on SCPHA grounds. 4. All damages made by the Contractor(s) and/or its subcontractors shall be properly repaired at the cost of the Contractor.
