It is the intention of the City of Syracuse to secure the services of a professional engineer and/or firm to provide elevator plan review and consultant services for the City of Syracuse on behalf of the Division of Code Enforcement, in accordance with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) A17.1 Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators. The professional engineer is needed to review approximately 45 (+/-) elevator and related conveyance plans per year and verify compliance of New York State Code.
